Barunga Festival 2024
The Barunga Festival has been an annual event in the Northern Territory since 1985 and is an Aboriginal cultural immersion experience, celebrating Indigenous music, art, culture, and sport.
The Barunga community swells from a population of 360 residents to over 4500 people for the three days of the June long weekend as people travel from near and far to participate in this authentic, affordable, and accessible cultural event.
Campaign Edge Sprout was invited by the Bagala Aboriginal Corporation and the Traditional Owners of the region to deliver the Barunga Festival 2024.
Campaign Edge Sprout was responsible for community consultation, event management, risk & safety management, branding, marketing, ticketing, photography and video work, social medial and overall event delivery.
The Barunga Festival is a family friendly event which includes a mix of culture, art markets, bush tucker, weaving workshops, spear throwing competition, AFL, basketball and softball carnivals, traditional dance (bungul) and live music over three days.
The event gained national attention through the strategic marketing campaign which included social media management, key sponsorships and partnerships, rebuilding a website, and filing content with national press during the event.
Campaign Edge Sprout’s ability to film and capture content, design and market, event management delivery and consultation are unique in the event space.
